The Zen'ji from Basically Every Angle

Illustrations shall be added at a later date.

Zen'ji Physiology

Makeup - Cells, Tissues and Fibres

The Zen'ji, and most other complex Imperia lifeforms, do not just consist of living cells and tissues, but also of non-living fibres.

Tissues in the Zen'ji are made up of basic Imperia cells, which are specialised to create their different tissues. These tissues and cell systems are:
  • Epidermis tissue (skin)
  • Epithelial tissue (semi-permiable membranes inside the body)
  • Chamber tissue (what makes up the walls of cavities and tubes inside the body)
  • Nerve tissue (found in nerves and the brain)
  • Muscle base tissue (recognisable muscle cells; normally at the base of muscle fibres)
  • The vascular system (found in blood)
  • The immunity system (found in blood)
  • Cartilage (cartelage cells closely related to fibre cells)
  • Electrocyte tissue (found in the antennae and allow for electromagnetic per- and reception)
  • Fibre webs (strands of cells (fibre cells) responcible for creating and maintaining fibres)

The fibres are divided into two groups:
Elastic fibres (which are more organic and are softer):
  • Bone fibres (make up bones and other hard areas, such as exoskeleton; strands of keratin coated with calsiumcarbonate, or even just keratin)
  • Muscle fibres (strands of a strong, semi-elastic material (what material?) that allow for push and pull actions)
  • Areolar connective fibres (strands of sticky, elastic meterial that connects skin to muscle, skin to bone, organs to muscle, muscle to muscle on the sides and organs to organs)
  • Tendonal connective fibres (strands of strong, barely elastic strands that take up the roles of ligaments and tendons)
  • Nervous fibres (thin, thread-like strands of some semi-elastic material on which the nervous column is found in the spine)

And glassous fibres (which are fibreglass-like):
  • Bone fibres (make up bones and other hard areas, such as exoskeleton; strands of keratin coated with calsiumcarbonate, or even just keratin)
  • Cartilagenous fibres (acts as fibrocartilage around bone joints)
  • Magnetite fibres (layers of magnetite strands that cover the exoskeleton over electrocyte tissue; allows for radio re- and perception)

The Skeleton

[Pending]

The Muscle System

Most animals on Novusvita use a system for movement that can be best discribed as "hydraulic muscles". The muscle "tissue" consists of hundreds of lateral muscle fibres, enclosed in a membrane of chamber tissue, to which the muscle fibres are fastened. Both the fibres and the tissue connect muscles to other muscles. When "relaxed", these fibres are untensed.

The muscular system consists of more than just muscle, but also dosens of sacks, ranging in size from microscopic (as in the eyes) to ball-sized (as in the hips). These sacks are filled with a dark blue oily fluid (what fluid? It doesn't have to be blue) and are connected to the muscles by tiny tubes. These sacks, aswell as the bases (ends of the fibres) of the muscles themselves, are covered with muscle tissue which squeese or contract these sacks and cause the muscle fibres to tighten or loosen.

For the muscle to perform labour, the "hydraulic fluid" in the sacks are pushed into the muscles "inflating them". The muscle fibres are at the same time pulled tight by the muscle tissue. The resulting resistance caused by the muscle lining pushing in on the fluid and vice versa causes the ends of the muscle to pull in, thus causing muscular contraction.

To relax, the muscle fibred are loosened and the fluid emptied back into the sacks.

What about warfare? Shouldn't there be an article on warfare for them within this?

I guess I could create a new section for Civilisation and put it there.

I should probably start adding things. Ask a question about something in there to get me started.

-Religion
It is accepted by most Xen'vi that a being/pressance comparable to the widest definition of God exists. Most other faiths are built around that. The other "deities" I listed somewhere else are the most widely accepted, but there are other, including a vast multitude of other gods.

At its simplest, Xen'vi religion only has Eol (their version of God). To deny the existance of Eol, to them, is like denying the existance of the universe.

Atheism does of exist, but is quite rare. It is much, much rarer to find a polytheist religion without Eol.

Other things that are quite rare in Xen'vi religion, when compared to Earth religion, are religios taboos and manditory religios rituals. Most Xen'vi consider these things silly.

-Senses
The Xen'vi posses the following senses: Sight, hearing, touch, smell, balance (the sense of gravity), thermal reception, EM (electromagnetic) reception and radio reception.

In other words, they have four of our five conventional senses, six of our seven true senses and two that we don't have.

Sight is picked up through the eyes; hearing through the sides of the head and, especially in males, the crest; touch is senses by basically every part of their boddies, as is the thermal sence; scents are picked up by special receptors around the inhailation orifices on their chests; gravity is picked up through a tiny special fluid-filled sack-thingy at the back of their heads; EM and radio perception are both picked up by the antennae, through radio waves can actually be picked up by any exoskeeltal part of their boddies.

Their scences of hearing, smell, balance and sight are better than ours.

-Technology
Since your question was on building materials, I'm just gonna say that they use any available materials that are most suitable for the task at hand. I'll elaborate later.

-Trade and Economy
Think the sixteenth century.

Their "money" system, where aplicable, works with tiny, marble-sized bead/ball things made out of meterials vaguely corresponding their worth (Ie. bone/wood; lead; iron; bronse; silver; gold; something else that's shiny; some gem; some really expensive gem).

This system is sorta global.

-Opinions/Taboos
*Sigh* I'll get to this later.

-Reproduction
They lay eggs.

Wouldn't the money be made from just a select few difficult to find materials? Like gold, silver or perhaps bones or rare woods? As opposed to many different marbles of worth? That system sounds a bit confusing and easy to cheat.

The marbles are easy to weigh to see if it's authentic and stuff. However, only the Valiero fully use this system as currency. Iga, Jay and Aari also largely uses it, but not quite as much and Tita and Svia use it somewhat. The other clans solely rely on trading.

I think we should start harvesting all posts who's info could possibly help fill the OP.

Cheating a system of weights and size is more difficult than you think.

Ok, so your saying the "church" has main control in society, makes sense. Much like present day their are many types, typical. Eol is sort of considered the universe, makes the least sense but I get it.

May I suggest because the clouds are so thick that some radical religion variants believe that the planet floats in an endless void of gray, and anything that comes from it is evil? It would allow resistance in the friendlier cities when they are not running or fighting the Iga'vi.

I guess I could add something like that.

Oh, and it's not that the church controlls people's thoughts, but that there is no church. Well, there is, but it's much less like an organisation than on Earth. I hate that.

In basic Xen'vi culture, people believe what makes best sense to them (which, in my oppinion, is how it should be). Eol (God) just happends to be the conclusion of most individuals, just as the majority of Earth faiths have a central omnipotent deity (God, or an interperetation of God (Allah, Brahma/Vishnu, Chaos in Greek mythology, etc.)).

Everything else sorta just comes with here and there.

The beauty of it all is that, aside from in nations such as Iga, there is no heracy. Only interperetation.

I'll share my rather not-so-common beliefs with anyone via PM's, if they'd like to know.

Well, just because you hate that doesn't make it possible. Hell you should add a metaphor for that in the book.

Heracy would probably exist in some cultures, I still can't see one religion staying the same and being execpted across the entire planet. You'll have what we'd call pagans, heretics, cults, centralization and prophets.

With all the different areas and cultures you've described you'll have to make a compromise between how advanced some nation is and what religion it has.

The only two civilazations I think would have heracy by their description are the Iga and Ojiha (or however you spell it.) As by belief the Iga are Evil and the Ojiha are unorganized, Evil people have evil corrupted religions, and these who have no one to organize them organize themselves with very controlling organizations.

Also a church wasn't exactly what I was referencing, I was meaning the church or leaders of the religion that protect all that is holy from deluded heretics like those I mentioned before.

From what I am reading him type there are infinitely many religions, as very nearly everyone has a different belief. To group these into five or six would be grouping them much like we do.

Group A: Monotheistic
Believe solely in Eol
-- I: Believe Eol created them and only them with everything he did not create as Evil.
-- II: Beleive Eol is the creator of EVERYTHING. This is most widely accepted.

Group B: Polytheistic
Believe in Eol, as well as many other lesser gods.
-- I: Believe in some sort of reincarnation.
-- II: DO NOT believe in reincarnation

Group C: Triotheistic
Believe in three main gods, Eol and two lesser.
-- I: Think Rayquaza Groudon and Kyogre.
-- II: Beleive the three gods are equal, Greek Myth; Zeus, Poseidon, Hades.

"...and the Ojiha are unorganized..." What? Wtf!?

Guys, *sigh*. If I hear one more misinterperetation of the Oijah I'm gonna jump off a cliff. ><

As for the "religion", you guys really aren't getting it at all, which is why I am going to bold my text.

The reason the vast majority of Xen'vi have simmilar views about their beliefs is because it's their BELIEFS not their religion! Infact, religios "worship" is a rarity. Let me explain the BELIEF a bit more: There's a central being/energy/whatever that is in complete controll over everything and is centrally responcible for everything. Everything happens for a reason and will eventually lead up to the fullfillment of some plan. That's the basics. That is what the vast majority believes. Everything else that you could possibly add onto it falls under the interperetations of individuals or religios groups.

Now, the faith which includes figures such as the Sion, Jaylen and Aari is the "main" faith of the world, sorta like Christianity on Earth, but less strict.

I said it before and I'll say it again. The Xen'vi's concept of religion is vastly different from ours.

Let me make my own "groups" of faiths, by parts of faith that are seen differently (groups in order of common-ness - blue = most common; green = common; yellow = not-that common; orange = rare; red = really rare):

I: Who's in control?
-- Group A: Eol and Eol alone, perhaps as a trinity
-- Group B: Eol and lesser divinities (eg. Jaylen)
-- Group C: Eol as three seperate beings
-- Group Oh no!! Multiple deities
-- Group E: The universe is in controll of itself
-- Group F: Rational souls
-- Group G: No one
-- Group H: The individual is in controll of his own universe

II: The soul
-- Group A: Souls were created by Eol to poppulate the universe; sentient beings have rational souls, all other life forms part of Eol'nahir
-- Group B: Souls were created by Eol to poppulate the universe; all lifeforms have souls
-- Group C: Souls were created by/from Eol'nahir
-- Group Oh no!! Souls came into existance on their own
-- Group E: All souls together form part of Eol/Eol himself
-- Group H: Souls don't exist

III: After death
-- Group A: Passing souls can choose to stay behind as "ghosts" or be reincarnated; either way, souls stay in the universe untill the end
-- Group B: Passing souls can choose to stay behind as "ghosts" or choose to pass on, in which case they either rejoin Eol (Heaven), are reincarnated (like Limbo, but not) or are destroyed (Hell)
-- Group C: Passing souls can choose to stay behind as "ghosts" or choose to pass on, in which case they either rejoin Eol (Heaven) or are reincarnated (like Limbo, but not) - no "Hell"
-- Group Oh no!! Passing souls are either reincarnated or pass on to Eol or destruction
-- Group E: Passing souls can choose to stay behind as "ghosts" or to be reincarnated, unless the soul has been particularly good/evil, in which case the either join Eol or are destroyed
-- Group H: Life just ends

IV: How to enter Heaven / join/rejoin Eol
-- Group A: Live a life of humility and verteus (be a good person)
-- Group B: Not being evil is enough
-- Group C: A + Worship Eol/the gods
-- Group Oh no!! Worship Eol/the gods
-- Group E: You must appease Shon'eol as not to be taken by him
-- Group H: There is no life after death / Eol/heaven does not exist

I can't think of anything else right now.
