Not sure what my faction leader's name is. Histories changed its course so its hard to remember. Too busy planning an invasion of the Polish castles....

But enough about that. Interesting note though, barely any topics are actually on topic right now.

I completely agree with Lichen's point-out-the-obvious statement.

SIX colonies of Novusvita?

Sounds a bit much for me; starts to ruin the feel of the place. The Iga being near-Industrial Age was bad enough; but humanity actually having a global empire on the planet as well is starting to go a bit far, in my opinion.

I don't think that having six colonies would count as a global empire.

Yes. There are litterally ONLY six human settlements on the ENTIRE planet. Here and there humans have moved into native vilages to learn more about the natives, but that's still about it.

Can you see all the white there? It seems humanity controls far more territory than the Svia'vi not to mention about a third of a continent.

WHAT!!??

Only the white around the colonies are human area. Neutral I didn't mean the light grey areas on the map which are MOUNTAIN RANGES. Sorry about that, perhaps I should've chosen a better colour for humans, especially since that's a black and white map... Nervous

Just look for the white dots. I was sort of confused on your paint choice...

I think everyone was confused a bit by that... But the six dots that show colonies hardly allow it to qualify as a global empire.

Now onto more pressing matters. The expansion and size of the dots seems to point out the fact they are not identicle. My question is what is the size based on Square or Cubic Feet , Population, or Political importance?

Well, there are two sizes of dots: Average and bigger. There is one big one for each clan (includings humans), which represents the location of their capitol city. Each other dot represents a city of notable importance/size (which I have yet to properly define). The exception is the humans. Each human dot is a colony. Only Darwin can sort of pass for a town (more like village), whereas the others are merely large research bases.

The colour represents poppulation denscity, which is not neccisarily territory, as in the famous and recently controvertial case of the Aari. Again, humans are the exception. The glowy-white areas immediately around their colonies are where they explore freely. Everywhere else they must ask for permission first.

Oh, and I'm making a new world map for Earth, which will include countries and states, majour and capitol cities and areas of war.

Also, the Afro-Eurasian Republic is now the Afro-Eurasian Empire (AEE) and the Union of Southeast Asia is now the Federal Union of Southeast Asia (FUSA).

K.

I'm going to bring the big argument from the history to here. I'm not saying the map would have to change, I'm just saying the Aari'Vi should be sort of like the Venetians and have numerous little ports and forts along the coasts. The two nations could just as happily integrate, but there would be official borders. That's all I really want is official borders.

SO you mean something like a small base on another countries territory... Sort of like Guantanamo Bay, Cuba? Except less restriction on borders and more or less for trading not prisoners... Makes sense. I would go with atleast one on every major continent. But I still say they don't have huge cities on land except for their capitol and Economic strongholds.

Just have bases along the coast and lots of islands. those can supply either by own production or trade the island forts which might act as "Capitals" or bases for Aari'Vi activity in the area, with lots of them just dotting the coastlines. Not just one but everywhere.

These would have been acquired through colonization, conquering and buying.
