Author: DudeMan95
Species Name: Bicepta harenapiscis (Two Face / Sand Fish)
Native Name: Sheeth
Human Nickname: Twofaced Sandfish / Sheeth / Shallow Twoface / Greek Sea Chicken / Sea Chicken
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Priduos --> [Pending] --> Bicepta --> Harenapiscis
Location: Shorelines around and near New Greece and the New Aegean Sea
Habitat: Shallow Sea / Mangrove / Reefs --- Sandy environments
Diet: Imperiavore / Liquivore --- Microbes; Sandskum
Special Anatomy: The Sandfish is a fairly primitive Duos species, with most of its genera nearly extinct.

It is called "twofaced" because of its unique feature arangement. Its feeding siphons and eyes are aranged in such a way as to form two "faces". The siphon itself shown just how primitive the Sandfish truly is. Instead of being a limb, like in most species, it is simply an elongated mouth, with no joins or jaw parts. A singe exoskeletal tube.

Another primitive feature it posseses is the lack of a head seperate from the body. They have no necks. Therefor, their exhailation pores (which still acts as waist orifices for digestion aswell) are parrallel to the gill slits (which are still actual gills here) which lie directly on the other side of the body.

Their "lungs" still act as boyancy sacks, only connected to the outside world by the exhlatation pores (which are actually excretion pores here). These sacks inflate by taking in stomache gasses through the tubes that would later allow stomach gasses to escape out the exhalation orifices and deflate by releasing these gasses out the excretion pores. Here's a diagram:

(Note: This diagram was actually made for Duos ancestors. Ignore F and the label discriptions. I was multithinking, so its kinda skrewed up...)

Food is taken up through the feeding orifices and up the two asophagi (B.) and into the stomach chamber (A). Here, food is digested and both solid and liquid waste is passed back down the asophagi. However, gasses produced pass up two seperate tubes where the gas meets either of the tri-tubular vaulves (C) and is then fed into the boyancy sacks (pre-lungs - D) to inflate them. To deflate, the gas passes back to the vaulves, but now continue on the the exhailation orifices.

Their hind limbs can show the evolution of the fused Duos hind limbs in action. Near the middle, their limbs branch off into two seperate fins, each with their own column of bones. In the distant past, these limbs would've been completely seperate.

Another trait that shown how primitive they truly are lie in their method of reproduction, which it also shares with many other members of the Preduos order. Instead of mating, as many Duos spesies do, Sandfish and its relatives reproduce via external fertilisation. The female will release her ovi out both the feeding orifices, which will then stick to rocks, sand or simply just drift in the ocean water, thanks to a sticky web-like substance that's released with the eggcells. Males will then search out these patches of ovi and will then rub their own feeding orifices onto the unfertilised eggs, releasing spermcells as they do so, thus fertilising the eggs. Within a few weeks, the jelly-like eggs will release the next generation of tiny Sandfish into the ocean.
Description/Uses/Other: Sheeths are widely fished by Xen'vi tribes around the New Aegean for their meat which (as cliché as it may seem), has a texture and taste quite simmilar to chickens on Earth, earning them the name "Greek Sea Chickens".

In native lore, the Sandfish are the messanges of the god of choise. Some tribes believe that gazing into the eyes of a Twoface while makinga choise will cause you to choose either the right or the wrong path, depending on which face you looked at.

Some tribes have also learnt to gather the sticky weblike structures released by the feemales and weeve them into fishing nets. Amazingly, chemichals released by the strands still attract male Sandfish to fertilise the (now non existant) eggs, only to be caught by the nets.

Species Name: Pyrauloplanum foeduscolos (Float-jet / Vile coloured)
Native Name: Phia'bar
Human Nickname: Snot Glider / Fiaber / Mold Flyer / Fart Balloon
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Priduos --> [Pending] --> Pyrauloplanum --> Foeduscolos
Location: Circum-global
Habitat: Aerial --- Greencloud environments
Diet: Imperiavore --- Greencloud Microbes
Special Anatomy: The Pyraulopanum genus is evolutionaraly unique in more ways than one.

Firstly, the reorgonisation of the feeding and breathing orifices. The feeding orifices are no longer used for feeding, but only for excretion and the release of reproductive fluids. Because they live in Greenclouds - which are gigantic colonies of floating photosinthetic microbes - they have found filter feeding by means of their breathing slits possible once more. Foodparticles get caught by hair-like strands that surround the breathing orifices. These then retract into these orifices and into the lungs. In other Duos species, the lung entrances have a mesh like filter, where the blood tract would scoop up debris caught in the filter and moove them to the blood filtering organs (which also triple as kidneys and livers) and the debris are then fed into the digestive tract, where it mixed with the waist - a trait of the filter feeding ancestors of the Duos. Now, with the Pyraulopanum, this system is once more used for feeding, not only filtering. Food particles caught in the filter get transported by the blood stream to the filtering orgams, where they are fed into the digestive tract and digested. From here, the digested liquid is taken to the once-feeding orifices via the rectum/asophagus (like other Duos) to be excreted. However, so are gasses. The channel that would've taken stomache gasses to the exhalation tubes has been blocked off, forcing stomach gasses out the once-feeding orifices aswell.

Spesial hose-like muscles around the once-feeding orifices jet out the waste/gas mixture into a fine spray, propelling the creature forward. Hence "float-jet". This projection of stomach gasses has also earned them the human slang term "Fart Balloon".

Two other adaptations are their balloon-like bodies and hind limbs, swolen by methan, carbon dioxide and other gasses produced by digestion. Exobiologysts were long puzzled by how these sacks get inflated, untill one biologyst who specialised in the Pyraulopanum discovered the low blood pressure of the Fiaber. She then did an autopsy on a specimen and found that, when food particles are released into the digestive tract from the filter organs, some stomach gasses also escape back into them. These gasses are then carried by the digestive tract as tiny air buddles - explaining the low blood pressure - before gathering at the highest points of the Fiaber body, the hind limbs and the body itself, creating the gas sacks allowing for their lift.

This and other evolutionary flooks in the Pyraulopanum genus have made them some of the most succesfull Duos species in the atmosphere of Novusvita.
Description/Uses/Other: Most Xen'vi tribes let the Fiaber be, but some have learns to gather their fallen boddies, cut out the floatation sack, cover them with protective leather from some other creature and tie them to rafts to help them stay affloat for the few days the sacks stay inflated. Some even go so far as almost never to replace the sack, simply reinflating them by making a tiny hole and exhaling into the sack before closing the hole back up.

Humans have learnt to refer to the Fiaber as "Snot Gliders" because of their colour, which is there to camouflage themselves in the Greenclouds. Because of this disguise, human pilots try to keep their aircraft clear of the greenclouds, as not to hit any potential Snot Gliders.

Species Name: Ranapes fluvius (Frog-foot / Of-the-River)
Native Name: Gul'ura
Human Nickname: Rangeland Bugfish / Bugfish / Purple Frogfish / Rangeland Frogfish / Frogfish
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Priduos --> [Pending] --> Ranapes --> Fluvius
Location: The mountains of Rangeland
Habitat: Bodies of fresh water --- In lakes, ponds, rivers and steams that contain other animals
Diet: Imperiavore --- Small animals it shares the waters with
Special Anatomy: Other than the fan-web structure between its toes, the Bugfish is a fairly average Duos species.

They have evolved a meens of feeding many other taxa - mainly the Peratergum - share with them. Proposci. They atack and feed off other animals it shares the waters with by stabbing them with their sharp-pointed feeding orifices and "sucking their blood".

They are the top predators in the rangeland and mostly you'll only find one in a set streach of water, as Bugfish are highly territorial, even canabalistic!

Unlike other piscal Duos species, they are amphibious. Their gill slits have joined up to their boyancy sacks, which now doubles as lungs, and is able to not only filter oxygen into the blood stream, but can also take air in directly, where it is then taken in by the lungs.

Species Name: Viscusterminus parslatuseris
Native Name: Myo'Spi's
Human Nickname: Pink Eyed Sticker / Pink Foot / Pink Lion / Spider Lion
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Peratergum --> [Pending] --> Viscusterminus --> Parslatuseris
Location: Throughout the plains of Mediterranea, Rangelands and Bari'Lar
Habitat: Open pampas and savannah --- [Pending]
Diet: Imperiavore --- feeds on other vertebrates much like Earth Lions
Special Anatomy: The head of Myo'Spi'S is similar to the other main vertebrates is that it carries 2 pairs of eyes, electro-sense antennae and exhalation pores. These heads contain the brain and a skull designed like a hammer allowing the Myo'Spi'S to smash prey or rival Myo'Spi'S.

Their breathing slits are moved up from the chest onto the bases of their necks to help protect them from sharp grasses and other ground based dangers that would otherwise damage the soft tissue. Their hides are thick and strong to protect from scrapes and cuts.

Myo'Spi'S' front limbs or mouth parts are adapted to a asymmetrical design. The left limb is longer and being a member of the second group of Novusvita vertebrates they're equipped with three bony jaw-like mouth parts. In this case however one jaw piece was grown massive and encased the other two jaw pieces in a syringe like tube. The enlarged syringe is used as a lethal weapon to deliver decisive blows to prey and to suck up matter. The hammer like head of the Myo'Spi'S is used to pound the prey's body to pulp it so that the syringe and suck the tissue so that the two smaller jaw pieces can mulch the rest of the material.

The right limb on the other hand is shorter and is armed with a ax-like spike. In fact this spike is rarely used as a weapon and can be quite fragile. It is made up of the reproductive organs of the Myo'Spi'S. The spike is quite similar in both males and females but used for quite different purposes. It males it carries the male reproductive cells which are inject into a joint at the base of the female's spike. Once done the female uses her spike and latches onto her back in front of her hump with it. In the following months the spike will soften and expand to support the growing Myo'Spi'S in side it. The spike will in fact merge with the body of the female. When the gestation period of 4 months is over the skin holding the now unrecgonizable spike to the females body slipts alway freeing the female arm. At the same time the young Myo'Spi'S will already have split open the spike and have crawled free on its mother's back. Using it's limbs it will cling to her back for another 2 months being fed by the mother small chunks of meat which it instinctivly pounds and devours.

The split open and shambled spike will eventually fall off and is replaced by another claw.

The hump of the Myo'Spi'S is filled with stored fats and liquids for surviving the harsh pampas. Below the hump is the Myo'Spi'S' large powerful hind limbs. These limbs are usually covered with pink markings earing the common names "Pink Foot", "Pink Toad Sticker" and "Pink Lion". Two pad like toes help give traction during chased with prey. A plume of fleshy growths out the bck end of the Myo'Spi'S is used for mating displays and in a rare sub species can be brighting colored and used for signalling during the hunt by pack members.
Description/Uses/Other: Myo'Spi'S or most commonly known to humans as "Pink Foot" is known in some native legends to be the messengers of the spirits. These pack dwelling predators are less spirit messengers and more deadly carnivores to the native pampas life of Novusvita. Myo'Spi'S stalk just about anything that moves in the tall grasses of the plains and are commonly the apex predator of the region. Their packs of 2-20 animals can surround, divide, and conquer almost anything. Their hierarchy places a top female and male at the head of the hunt while other closely related pack members make up the rest of the pack. Outsiders are rarely allowed into other packs and are often killed or chased.

Species Name: Duosoffa cervus
Native Name: Tai'Leea
Human Nickname: Renne / Santa's Dino / Reindeer Lizard
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Peratergum --> [Pending] --> Duosoffa --> Cervus
Location: The Tai'Leea or Renne can be found in vast herds across the northern areas of Novusvita such as Siera, Gia, the North Shore and Thera.
Habitat: Tundra; Alpine --- The Tai'Leea is indigenous to the tundra and forests that dominate the polar regions of Novusvita much like modern Earth Caribou and Elk do today. Migrating across the Northern reaches carries the Tai'Leea through both tundra, forest and ice sheets
Diet: Imperivore --- Members of Photosyntha and also some more advanced species of Hydroplantae
Special Anatomy: The Tai'Leea is similar to other members of its genus with its bipedial stance and danger-like feed tools. Tai'Leea are symmetrical creatures and instead of separate feeding and mating organs such as found in species like the Myo'Spi'S. Instead they have two separate but similar probosces of which the large thicker is used for stabbing into trunks or slurping up jelly-like Hydroplantae.

The smaller proboscis is used for mating. During mating males and females copulate by "holding hands". The female then twists her forelimbs above her back and using the sharp feeding proboscis cuts small slits in her two humps. She then releases the fertilized eggs into the humps. Of her 8-26 eggs she releases into her humps only two, one in each hump, will have been fertilized. When the young Tai'Leea hatches in her humps they will feed on the other unfertilized eggs. In about four weeks the young Tai'Leea will with their forelimbs make a slit in their mothers humps and, like most young of their genus, will cling to their mother's back till they mature to the point that they can walk.

Two large fleshy antennae-like organs on the back of each hump make for mating and signaling displays. These can flask yellow, red and purple to warn of predators and to help males attract the attention of a female.

Below the humps are the Tai'Leea's legs and feet. The two toes of the Tai'Leea have fused together to form hooves. Their legs are heavily muscled to support the size of the Tai'Leea and to help give it the speed it needs to escape the tundra predators.

On their heads their eyes are quite different then most members of their genus. They are mounted on top of short antennae and can only detect light and shadow, along with the ability of smell, a rarity in their genus in which most predators and herbivores find food using sight or electrosensory. this ability of smell gives the Tai'Leea an edge against some other arctic predators, including predatory members of its own genus. Two small barbles beneath the Tai'Leea's head detect colors but not clear images. These are needed since the Tai'Leea's normal eyes can no longer detect the colors from the flashing displays of potential mates. Tai'Leea easily SPORE when subjected to flashing colors that do not register as mating displays. More then one human explorer has been trampled by these rhino sized aliens.
Description/Uses/Other: Tai'Leea migrate constantly feeding on the tundra Hydroplantae and sap of tree-like Photosynthaens. Their herds can reach sizes of up to 2,000 animals and easily scour the land scape as they pass through their ancient migration routes. For many northern natives whether sentient of not they are often the life support through out the harsh winters. For the sentient natives they are as the buffalo was to the Plains Indians of Earth. Their bones make tools and their hides clothing and shelter. Their meat keep stomachs full. Un-like Earth reindeer however they are extremely hard to tame and are near impossible to raise in captivity.

Author: LichenDragon
Species Name: Infligo plumaos
Native Name: Reighaloiseer'Aref / Rankei / Hea
Human Nickname: Rainbow Chicken / Sumo Bird / Lafaard / Knocker / Klopper / Hell Bird / Sleep Killer
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Peratergum --> [Pending] --> Infligo --> Plumaos
Location: These fluently named Peratergum are native to the dense tropical forests of lowland Felland.
Habitat: Tropics --- Dense tropical lowland forests
Diet: Imperivore --- Members of Photosyntha, which in these tropical regions grow into massive forests. They will not pass up small amounts of carrion when available and in one or two instances they have been reported killing much smaller creatures and eating them.
Special Anatomy: Reighaloiseer'Aref as the natives call them, or Kloppers as a Dutch speaking explorer called them overall fit the stereotypical Peratergum. But do to a separation from the normal climate that one finds a Peratergum in their autonomy shows some major differences.

For starters the usual four slits found on the chests or sides of Novusita creatures their slits have melded into their necks and have instead transformed into a series of lumps down the Klopper's neck easily pull in oxygen through their thin skin and into the lungs.

The head has been modified too, instead of the usual exhalation pores and sensing antennae the two organs have fused into a crest which both picks up electric fields and constantly releases bi-product gases. The skull has modified into a pick like tool which allows the Klopper to stab into the tree-like trunks of Photosyntha and then using their mouth parts feed on the sap.

Their mouth parts have lost almost all recognizable resemblance to traditional Peratergum mouth parts. The usual single massive jaw piece has been reduced to a similar to that of its other two respective jaw parts. A tube of cartilage with branching feather-like stalks takes its place as a feeding device. The mouth part can easily flex and dig into a trunk and scour the fleshy insides for digestible material.

Mating means holding hands to copulate like normal Peratergums, the egg can only be found on the tip of one of the feeding tubes. This is always the left limb from the females point of view. Males instead of their seed contributes a packet containing condensed predigested sap to the other limb to keep the female from simply shaking the male off and leaving, much like many spiders and insects do on Earth.

The left limb containing the egg on the other hand is fertilized and then the egg, located at the tip of the tube is transferred to a slit in the female's pouch. Soon enough the tiny 6" young will emerge from the pouch and cling to its mother's back till it reaches 3' in length from which it will follow its mother on foot till sexual maturity.

Long hairs on the hump of a Klopper are thought to sense ultraviolet light for a purpose that it unknown to human explorers and researchers.
Description/Uses/Other: Description/Uses/Other: The Klopper or Peratergum plumaos more properly can reach sizes of over 10' in height and dwarf most other members of Peratergum. Dark and bright coloration is though to attract mates and even camouflage in the near eternal night of the forest floor.

Peratergum plumaos is thought to be the hider of secrets to many native tribes around the Felland peninsula. Their boring into *trees and such have led to the belief that if you tell a Peratergum plumaos your secret it will hide your secret in the trunk of some tree and so your secret would never be found.

Peratergum plumaos are though of as sacred creatures and are rarely hunted by tribes except for near the southern tip of the Peratergum plumaos's range where they are hunted and their hides and meat cure an burned as offerings to such deities they believe in.

Human explorers have given the Peratergum plumaos names like Hell Bird and Klopper (Dutch for "Knocker" ) due to the continuous thumping sounds created by the Peratergum plumaos as it drills into the trunks of trees. Sleep Killer is also occasionally used, usually after explorers spend a night in the forests. The term Lafaard (Dutch for "Coward" ) is also a commonly used term which originated as a joking term for the "Sleep Killer's" lack of fear from humans. This term is thought to have actually originated when explorers met the creatures on the southern end of the peninsula where man's bipedial stance was all to similar to the southern tribes of Xen'Vi which hunt the Peratergum plumaos.

* "Tree(s)" is used here some what incorrectly as the forests of Nosuvita are filled with photosynthesizing organisms that belong to Imperia and have semi-complex organs more similar to that of animals then plants. In the forests these organisms grow stationary and are in most aspects what we might consider trees with trunks and branches and roots.

Native Name: [Unpronounceable]
Human Nickname: Behemoth
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Quintumdigitatum --> [Pending] --> Vulgus --> Phasmatis
Location: Circum-global
Habitat: Temperate beaches --- Near rainforests where they sleep
Diet: Liquivore --- [Pending, presumably beachskum]
Special Anatomy: Males feature florescent, pheromone-inducing splotches on their necks. These are used for determining rank, age and herd.
Description/Uses/Other: Is known for it's ability to seemingly disappear. No small feat for a creature of it's size. The creatures are known to use their large crests to move boulders and logs out of their paths as well as to "aggressively discourage" predators. Vulguphasatis are usually calm herd animals, but will stampede if startled by a sudden loud noise. They will often be found lurking around oceans, streams or lakes, eating the liquifyta within. Some tribes of Xen'vi use it as a farming animal, due to the enjoyable taste of it's meat. Humans often kill it merely for sport or when a herd of them stampedes through a campsite. Humans hate the taste, finding it to be rather bitter and over-salty. Certain tribes of Xen'vi have legends of Vulguphasmatis pushing over trees and creating the swamps at the will of their forest god. These legends also gave the Vulguphasmatis certain religious significance in these same tribes, who will not eat their flesh and believe all who do to be unholy and lacking souls. One tribe [the one that took over most of the world] uses these beasts as chariots of war, fitting them with armor and mounting large weapons on top of them.

Species Name: Genus Maneostarducorpus (Genus / Early Mouth Late Body)
Native Name: Pkloon
Human Nickname: Piclown, Chubby Cheeks, Alien Pig Monster, Rock Sucker
Location: Lowlands of New Europe and Felland
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Pridous --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> [Pending]
Habitat: Wide, open spaces.
Diet: Mineravore --- Eats any Mineralite it finds.
Special Anatomy: The Maneostarducorpus is quite dissimilar from other species of Pridous. For one, it's bodily structure is somewhat more advanced, having long legs, functional lungs and a somewhat developed skeletal system. All members of it's genus share these traits.

It's mouth parts are unique when compared to other members of Duososida. The two mouths resemble large bumps of hard exoskeletal material with a large dent in the middle. This dent is filled with extremely small holes which minerals are sucked into. Near the front of the mouths are five bands of razor sharp "teeth". When the Maneostarducorpus feeds it uses these bands of teeth to shave off small pieces of the outer layer of any species of Mineralite which it encounters by pressing its head against the creature and moving it in a circular motion.

Unlike other Duososida the Maneostarducorpus is asexual. When mating a small tube extends from the center of the dent. The left mouth contains male reproductive organs while the right mouth contains female reproductive organs, or at least the Duososidian equivalent of male and female. Two Maneostarducorpus copulate by "kissing," in which the "male" tube slides into the "female" tube and fertilizes an egg. Both parents will each give birth to a single egg, which shall stay fitted into the right mouth until it is ready to hatch. The egg fills up the entire mouth, forcing the "pregnant" Maneostarducorpus to only eat using their left mouth. After five Earth months the child will be able to have children of its own, and will have a new child almost every month for the rest of its 10-15 Earth year life.

Description/Uses/Other:The Maneostarducorpus isn't used by the native Xen'vi very often, although Humans often follow herds of them to locate areas with many Mineralites. It is often known as Chubby Cheeks or Alien Pig Monster because of the large bumps on it's face which resemble cheeks and because of it's diet. The Maneostarducorpus spends most of its time eating, prompting Humans to say that it "eats like a pig," hence it's nickname.

It's about half the height of an average person.

Species Name: Genus / Mauron
Native Name: Pending
Human Nickname: Tack Bulls
Location: Pending
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Spinaeantennae --> Pending --> Pending --> Mauron
Habitat: Wide, open valleys, occasionally found in forests.
Appearance: 7 feet high when fully grown.
Diet:Abiovore/Mineravore --- Eats rocks.
Special Anatomy: Pending
Description/Uses/Other:
Their tails serve mainly as a defense mechanism against predators. With their dual horns behind the antennae they can sense different types of rocks from up to a mile away. This bit of evolution has allowed them to live much longer than before. Before eating a rock they will first ground it into smaller pieces, and then slowly eat them. While eating they become susceptible to attack by predators because while eating their defenses are put down. Due to this they will travel in packs of 6-7.

Species Name: Skewerpondylus Cerahorridus (Gore vertebra / Horrible horn)
Native Name: Caurakai
Human Nickname: Skewerpondylus / Bag Horn / Armored Leech / Xenan Armadillo
Location: The most arid parts of Xena.
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Spinaentennae --> Montanatholus --> Skewerpondylus --> Cerahorridus.
Habitat: Arid areas. Mostly find on savannas, scrub lands and deserts.
Appearance: The first explorer to find this creatures were Greek. The first thing that the explorers noted where the thick armor covering the Skewerpondylus's back. Despite of looking fierce, the Bag Horns are docile abiovores. The big thorn on the below part of their thorax is used to stag everything when threatened. They can grow up to 2 meters tall and they can have a maximum length of 2.4 meters.
Diet: Abiovore ---- Objects composed of Nitrogen.
Special Anatomy: The most significant trait of the Skewerpondylus's anatomy is the fact that it has a very powerful poison. Inside it's digestive system, it transforms the Nitrogen into a toxin. When it stags something, the toxin is released. If the unlucky staged thing survives to the hemorrhage, then the toxin kills it.
Description/Uses/Other: Only extreme creatures can survive on the deserts of Xena. For living in a place like that, the creatures must have a fast metabolism. Due to that, the Skewerpondylus have a lifespan of 5 Novusvitan months. The few Xen'vi who lives on the deserts of Xena call they as Caraukai, meaning "lifeless beauty" on the desert Xen'vi's language. In the desert Xen'vi's religion, they considerate the Xenan Armadillos as the underworld and life gods. They have this fame from being deadly when threatened and docile when looking after the next generation. They are one of the most docile creatures on the Universe when domesticated. The natives usually uses them as feeding machines. When domesticated, the became harmless, really harmless. They didn't attack anything. That is why the Xen'vi feeds on it a lot.

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Quintumdigitatum --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> Megaloquintumdigitatum
Habitat: deep ocean--- Some air-pocket caves exist there.
Appearance: Silhouette pending- 2x whale size. Pictures may have to wait as well.
Diet: Liquivore: the antennae catch the sticky creatures & lower it to the mouths.
Special Anatomy:The only Quintumdigitatum to return to the sea (& the largest: 300X human size)
Description/Uses/Other: Tends to go into air-pocket caves to breathe (it pokes the arms in, & grabs air. It then sucks the air in through it's chest-openings, straight from the 'jaws'. The one Xen'vi tribe who know them plant the antennae around their village. The humans consider their fin a delicacy: A single slice looks like a thick patty and tastes like Calamari : brilliant with batter, in burgers. The myth goes that they created the planet, gluing the pieces together, & creating the liquid-based life from the remainder glue.

Species Name: Gradiorous marsus [Walking / Sea Pig]
Native Name: Havgris, Upai
Human Nickname: N/A
Location:Gara'N and other surrounding seas near equator
Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Dysmmetra --> Feracorda --> Duososisda --> Undabeastia --> Pridigitatum --> Gradiorous --> Marsus
Habitat: Warm shallow lagoons and shorelines, generally close to ocean currents bringing rich water to the surface.
Appearance:

Diet: Liquivore, Imperiavore: Small plankton and sealife, oceanic liquiphites
Special Anatomy: Marsus, or Sea Pigs, are most notable for their highly modified lungs, which rise out of their body cavity and onto long stalks. The function of these lungs are to both directly absorb oxygen from the water but also to rise above the shallows to suck in through pores oxygen from the air. This duo system allows the Sea pig to dive into deeper waters for longer amounts of time. Also notable are that there are four lungs as opposed to the normal two, seemingly the gill slits were modified, first until the actually lungs were rendered useless and were adsorbed into nothingness, indications of this is during the plankton stage (more on that later) Sea Pigs have internal lungs that absorb oxygen from the water only, while the slits are simply long tubes, these grow into the adult form and the true lungs disappear during its plankton stage.

The Sea Pig Plankton Stage isn't really a plankton stage, not as Terran plankton is often known as, but instead the form embryonic stage of the Sea Pig. After mating the eggs develop for about 3-8 days, then they are released into the water, they hatch almost as soon as they hit open water. Each tiny three millimeter long Sea Pig is almost an exact replica of its parent but for a having lungs and lacking the external ones.

Within their first week most of the Sea Pigs will have formed the lungs though they are very weak, and still simply bring water to the internal lungs. But in three days of fully forming the external lungs will have eight times their original thickness and will have stopped pumping water to the internal lungs, which are now almost nonexistant having been absorbed by surrounding tissues. The pipeline to the stomach still exists and water derived of its oxygen is pumped out by means of it. The process from hatching takes anywhere from one and a half to three weeks and morphs the Sea Pig into a completely water dependent to near amphibious animal. Important since mating occurs in very shallow waters, or none at all.

Description/Uses/Other: The Sea Pig spends most of its life skipping over the sandy sea bottom sucking into their mouths Liquiphites and plankton carried into the shallows by ocean currents, which the Sea Pigs spend their entire lives following as they weave through the tropical lagoons and estuaries.

They have few defenses but for very bitter flesh, and mostly depend on numbers to protect themselves from predators, along with currents and waves which can easily sweep and pound a jellious Sea Pig into a dead jellious Sea Pig. Sea Pigs are very weak swimmers and while they occasionally dive to up to 2o meters into deep water they are more at home in water that only reaches the tops of their external lungs and is calm.

Mating occurs just about when ever the opposite sex meet. Its conventional for any Duososida member and seasons have little effect due to the tropical climate. The resulting "Plankton" number in the hundreds, most will be eaten or killed in days of hatching. The ones that survive will spend their time eating liquiphites and once they grow in size larger plankton.

Sea Pigs are relatively unknown to most native populations, though a number island populations are known to occasionally hunt them or consider them a sacred animal, or both. Human explorers know little of them.

Species Name: Inabdomen/ tergumcrur "Upon Belly/ Back Legs"

Native Name: Vip'L / Biol

Human Nickname:
Mud Slider / Hopper / Snoopy Frog / Grenouille

Location: Barin Island

Taxonomy:
Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Peratergum --> Primoris --> Inabdomen --> tergumcrur

Habitat:
Mud Flats, Swamps and Marshes.

Appearance:

Diet:
Liquiphites, Aquatic Photosynthesizing Imperia and various other small organisms that can be found in the mud of swamps and flats.

Special Anatomy:

The nature of the Inabdomen terguncruris that of an over-sized filter feeding frog that reaches up to two feet long, these ancient creatures live there lives living in mud and murky water, they've adapted by directly soaking in their needed gases through their skin, including a highly porous sail. The usual breathing slits have simply become gills, filtering the water.

The "Vip'L's" hind limbs are large and heavily muscled, a sail can be raised and lowered to ward off other Vip'L, when the sail fails then two pairs of long jagged claws will be lashed out at the interloper. These claws sometimes met the legs of human explorers and their habit of being covered in an array of flesh eating bacteria is rarely appreciated.

The front limbs have become Asymmetric, once has formed a tube which sucks in mud and water, which is then channeled down the tube to grinding mouth pieces which filter and mulch edible matter, AKA everything, and expel what remains of the inedible muck. Liquiphites are common prey, as are small krill like creatures.

The second limb is much shorter and used for breeding, when mating begins the two Vip'L moving the sides of each other and mate, both mates watch for ever present danger, especially natives who have a taste for a creature's legs, not unlike the tastes of the Human Frenchman for a certain creature's legs. Th flesh was once described by, a French explorer as tasting much like frog legs. The rest of the expedition claimed the taste was that of chicken.

Once mated the two Vip'L part, the female leaves, her duty is done, the male has in fact been given the female's clutch of over a hundred minuscule eggs, which will hatch with in two weeks as tiny, miniature Vip'l and crawl one by one from the male's breeding limb. The male will live to breed again.

The head of the Vip'L has a peculiar shape, which is used in mating displays, as a general rule males that are stronger and eat better have larger head protrusions, simply as a rule though, a small population exists through out the Vip'L range which lives much shorter lives but place most of their growing energy into producing their heads, sometimes to a point that they cannot move quickly making them easy prey. The gene that causes this makes the effected Vip'l much more likely to mate at the cost of being more likely to get eaten and living short lives. Stopping the gene from consuming the entire Vip'L population.

A pair of hoods are used for picking up sound quite effectively.

Description/Uses/Other: The Tergumcrur is a common representative of the small genus Inabdomen, found mostly around the Barin Island Archipelago, where they have been protected from other more successful groups that have filled similar niches. There are only three members to the genus and are found in the small salt water swamps on the islands.

Small populations of natives inhabit the islands and feed regularly on the legs of the Vip'L. It is common to chop just one leg off, since Vip'L can regrow legs, leaving the Vip'L with the other to escape predators and so provide again for the natives. The claws of the Vip'L are sometimes used to line paddle-like clubs used by the islanders in warfare, which easily chop through flesh and make excellent weapons.

Vip'L are only found, with the rest of it's genus on the Barin Islands and are likely doomed to the introduction of foreign species which work in similar ways to that of the Pacific islands and the introduction rats and pigs.

Species Name: Acervus acervus: "Massive Massive"

Native Name: Miglogoiye/ Xaaro/ Quiooa

Human Nickname: Mãe De Deus*/ Thunder Bird/ Bead Eyed/ Acervus

Location: FootHills of Bari'lar, Xena and the Rangeland

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Feracorda --> Duosodia --> Peratergum --> Provectus --> Acervus --> acervus

Habitat: Flatlands, along forest edges.

Appearance:

Diet: Imperiavore/Liquivore; The Mãe De Deus on the foliage of trees and shrubbery. Liquiphites are also a favorite food source, though they aren't must to sustain the behemoths.

Special Anatomy: If there is any way to distinguish an Acervus from the rest of the Peratergums it's its size. At nearly 10 Tons and 30' feet tall there is little that is little on this species. The hind limbs are heavily muscled to support the awesome weight and the usual two toes of Peratergums have been replaced by folds of cartilage strengthened tissue that come away in three pads radiating from the base of the foot. These help distribute weight.

The hump that is standard issue in the Peratergum family has become enlarged into a massive gastric acid factory which breaks down anything that enters it. Several stomachs work to dissolve the masses of vegetative matter that the Mãe De Deus consumes. It also serves as a a balancing mechanism for the massive neck. Two womb humps are found on either side of the main hump. Small flaps of skin covering openings to the womb humps can be found on both.

The front limbs are Asymmetrical and have formed together at their bases creating a pouch where the heart of the Mãe De Deus is found. The ends of the front limbs are separated, one is elongated and housing the mouth parts, one long tube with two smaller bone jaws in the inside, a common design in several groups of Imperia. This long tube also holds a the reproductive cells of both the males and females and is centered on the body. The much smaller right limb is reduced to a hook-like spur that is occasionally seen being used in combat against other Mãe De Deus though this is uncommon considering the social nature of the, usually, gentle giants.

In mating the elongated limbs of the male and female touch in the usually fashion of Peratergum, a simple second or two touch and then the deed is finished. Then the female in the most common way of Peratergum then deposits her fertilized eggs in her womb hump(s). Differently though is that unlike many Peratergum instead of inflicting injury to make a slit or hole to the womb space instead the the eggs are placed through the holes found on the humps which are then closed by the flaps of skin.

The young will take up to two years to mature to the point of leaving the womb sack. At this stage the young will slash a slit at the top of the womb using its spur (right limb) and crawling out. The wound will quickly heal. The young Mãe De Deus will have already reached the size of a horse and will almost immediately move on foot as apposed to the usual fashion of Peratergum young riding atop the backs of their parent. It will be dependent on food from its mother for another two years a which point most known living animals on Novusvita would be shamed.

Mãe De Deus have two womb humps (notable in both genders) but only seed one with a fertilized egg during a mating season, which occur every two years with the female switching between womb humps so that at anyone point (if she is the matriarch, more on hierarchies later) the female will have one developing young and another outside the womb.

Along the top of the neck a row of spines can be found, these spines are relatively flexible and serve as a poor defense, instead they are unique to each Mãe De Deus and serve as identification. The eyes are mounted on long stalks and very a radial view. A crown-like crest is believed to serve in hierarchical status as it is found that they change in colors according to status.

The skin of the Mãe De Deus is covered with countless tiny pores that excrete a poison that is nearly as strong as that of the poison dart frogs of Earth making the Mãe De Deus an inedible specimen.

Description/Uses/Other: Mãe De Deus are very social creatures and travel in herds of 2-45 animals. To keep order there are hierarchies. The matriarch is usually the largest, oldest, toughest female in the herds range, then there are the younger females, usual the daughters, grand daughters, great grand daughters and so on of the matriarch. At the bottom of the list is the lowly male, for there are great similarities between Mãe De Deus and the mythical Amazons of ancient Anatolia in modern day Turkey for the male is breeding material and little else. Only the matriarch will breed with the male, her daughters must go out on their own to compete with each other the find the best remaining males.

The males are outcasted from the herds once they're independent from their mother, they are left to compete with the males of other herds for the prime goal of being the sole male of the group and therefor the one to pass his genes onward. Males that aren't strong enough to achieve this compete with each other for the lower ranked females that seek to spread their genes. These other mothers though are rarely seen with multiple young, the matriarch regularly kills other younger Mãe De Deus even to the point sometimes of stabbing the young in the mother's womb to make sure her genes are the main stay in the herd. She does spare some young though.

Because of the potent poisons in the Mãe De Deus' flesh there aren't many uses by natives past a half ceremonial, half purposeful practice of, "Xaaro Ikio" in which a young native becomes a man er, adult by using a long knife, more of a short sword and loping off the tip of the tail of a sleeping Mãe De Deus(When sleeping the beasts sit like an oversized bird) and then returning with the tail tip, the included dangers are often: The Mãe De Deus wakes and moves while the young native is nearby accidentally, or purposely if the native doesn't grab the tail tip in his gloves soon enough and runs quick enough, if the native accidentally touches the skin of the Mãe De Deus with his bare flesh and surprisingly numerous number of times, he trips in the dark and runs himself through with the knife.

If the native is successful the poison of the tail tip will be used in warfare with other tribes of natives, since if used on prey the flesh would become tainted with the poison.

*Mãe De Deus is Portuguese for "Mother of God", referencing to the words first spoken of the Mãe De Deus.

Species Name: Inabdomen tardus "Upon Belly Slug"

Native Name: Louel/ Regay

Human Nickname: Seal Slug/ Tardus/ Lingot

Location: Barin Island

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Peratergum --> Primoris --> Inabdomen --> tardus

Habitat: Mud flats, swamps marshes.

Appearance:

Diet: Imperiavore; feeds on smaller creatures and occasionally liquiphites.

Special Anatomy: Inabdomen tardus can be found throughout the islands of the Barin Island Archipelago and is adapted for life in the local salt marshes. This three' foot long 20lb predator is the largest native species on the Archipelago excluding Xen'Vi who have recently colonized the islands and marine life.

The "Lingot", French for slug which rightly named, is notable for nearly complete lack of visible hind limbs. Instead the toe bones have split into seven thinner spurs which support a frill-like flap of skin. The spurs are moved in a wave-like fashion similar to a millipede's gait giving the Lingot a movement boost in the mud. A small hook like organ protrudes upward from the Lingot's rear end and its purpose is unknown.

A small sail also rises above the Lingot's back, the tips of which are brightly colored and serve as mating displays. The front limbs are Symmetrical and sharp. Belonging to Peratergum the Lingot has a small cartilage sucker formed from what in more advanced Peratergum would have been the bony grinding jaws. These suckers are equipped with taste buds which help the Lingot taste its way through the swamp.

Feeding is a brutal experience for the prey for the Lingot upon finding prey repeatedly stabs it with its frontlimbs till the prey is dead or paralized and then sucks up the juices using the sucker mouth parts. Mating is equally brutal, Lingots carry both female and male reproductive cells, and instead of touching mouth parts they attempt to stab their cells into the womb spaces of the other Lingot.

They fertilize their own eggs instead of mixing genes with other Lingots. A parallel to this would be the Whiptails of Earth which have no males, only females. In two weeks the impregnated Lingot will expel up to 20 eggs which will hatch within five days. The eggs and young Lingots taste foul to deter would-be predators.

The Lingot is completely blind with only warty growths where its eyes would have been. Long antennae spring out from the sides of the Lingot's head and serve to help it find its way through the eternity of mud in which it lives.

Description/Uses/Other: The natives that now inhabit the Barin islands often tell of giant 10' foot long Lingots that would sink canoes and devour anything. While remains of a possible fourth member of the Inabdomen genus have been found it is unknown how large it got and if it went extinct recently. natives sometimes claim to have seen the beasts but human explorers mostly hold little belief in the claims.

The Lingot is considered a threatened species through native hunting. Natives have found that mature Lingot flesh is very good and use their colored sails in ornaments. Spurs and other bony parts are often used in tools and weaponry by natives.

Species Name: Inabdomen Virgavermis

Native Name: Halberidese

Human Nickname: Tiger Worm

Location: Barin Island

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Peratergum --> Primoris --> Inabdomen --> Virgavermis

Habitat: Mud flats, swamps and marshes.

Appearance:

Diet: Imperiavore, Liquivore -- Feeds on smaller animals and liquiphites. Liquiphites make up a large portion of diet.

Special Anatomy: The Tiger worm is equipped with two short paddle like hind limbs, these serve as both rudders and thrust whether the Tiger Worm is slithering through mud or water. Each limb is armed with two toe claws which can inflict nasty gashes on the careless explorer or native.

The stereotypical hump of Peratergums is present midway down the body. Past the hump are the breathing slits which are located near the top of the Tiger Worm's back to keep them clear of mud.

The front limbs are short and small, a distinguishably aspect of these front limbs that a secondary limb set is found at the base of the main. This is generally called the womb limb. Feeding is like most Peratergums, a stab with the proboscis and a general liquidation using emzimes and grinding or sucking jaw pieces.

Mating is similar to that of the Inabdomen tardus in that they're both hermaphrodites meaning they have both male and female reproduction cells. Tiger Worms fertilize their own eggs and then inject their eggs into the womb limbs of other Tiger Worms, differently though from the Tardus is that both Worms allow the other to impregnate the other.

The young Tiger Worms claw our of the womb limb with in 2-3 weeks and are bile tasting, they achieve poisonous chemicals from certain plants that they eat as they grow, later on they'll become deadly to most life forms on the islands.

Four fully functioning eyes give clue to a less murkier existence then that of the Tardus, much shorter antennae also point to the differences in habitat. A small angler-like crest is found on the heads of some Tiger Worms though there is no known purpose.

The most striking feature of the Tiger Worm is its bright colors, giving warning to aerial predators and the occasional Tardus of its poisonous nature. While reaching the longest of the three living Inabdomen at three feet the Tigerworm is more snake-like and does not claim much actual mass.

Description/Uses/Other: The Tiger Worm is often one of the more celebrated species found on the Barin Islands by natives. There bright skins are worn by the elite and their flesh is considered a delicacy, as such they are heavily hunted by natives. Tiger Worms are worshiped by some tribes as demi-gods but that doesn't stop said tribes of enjoying the luxuries of the Tiger Worm.

The Tiger Worm is considered an endangered species though data is poor. With introduced species beginning to over run some islands and decimate native species the Tiger Worm, Lingot and Vip'L along with countless hydroplantae, invertebrates, liquiphites and other native vertebrates are very questionable.

Here are a few of mine, now let me see if I can find anyothers out there....

Quote :
Species Name: Terra Bellator [Earth(ground)/Warrior]
Native Name: Kaleti
Human Nickname: Desert Rock-Eaters
Location: [Pending]
Taxonomy: [i][Life] --> [Minerallia] --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> [Pending] --> [Pending]
Habitat: Desert----- Near rocky cliffs where they feed on rocks
Appearance:
Diet: Mineravore
Special Anatomy: The Kaleti's head is good for headbutting. It is backed up with layers of bones to avoid cranial injuries while headbutting the cliffs. They headbutt the cliffs to make pebbles and rocks fall, because that's the size of rocks they can fit in their "mouths". They also have a blade in their arm, which are used for protection and for duels during mating season.
Description/Uses/Other: The Kaletis have strong feet, which they use to travel on harsh environments easily. They have hard pads on the bottom of their feet, to avoid getting burnt while walking on heated sand. They use their back fins to sense where the air gets cut in half. The air gets cut in half when it comes across canyons and cliffs, so the fins are helpful when finding food.

There was this one as well.

Species Name: [i]Radixlac spaera
[Root Sucking / Spheres]

Native Name: Ompala

Human Nickname: Ball Bushes

Location: CircumGlobal; many subspecies occur throughout most of the planets terrestrial environments. Most are not listed and fall generally under the same official name.

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Trisymmetra --> Phylum --> Class --> Order --> Family --> Radixlac--> Spaera

Habitat: Grasslands, forest clearings, tundras, veldtlands, deserts, wetlands

Appearance:

Diet: Abiovore, Imperiavore; Photosynthesis along with parasitic feeding of nearby plant-life.

Special Anatomy: Ompala are quite simple organisms, their bodies are supported by long tendrils, these roots can reach 40 meters in length and will burrow into other flora's roots, after which they begin sucking nutrients from the plants.

Inside the Ompala itself there is simply air and a number of packets of stored nutrients and sugars. The outside layer is covered with a waxy layer to stop the leaking of water from the plant, the photosynthetic cells are behind this layer and do make up the majority of the Ompala's diet.

Description/Uses/Other: Ompala subspecies mostly seem to vary in their size and shapes; in the deserts they can be much smaller while in forests they are much wider and flatter.

The Ompala bush is a common crop for some native populations who eat the inner tubers filled with nutrients and sugars.

The horses are fine. I figured out how the inhailation orifices could end up on the face (hope you don't mind them having ribs fused into the bottom of their skulls). Well, except for the beast of burden one. The "fat horse". It needs the same antennae as the other two and its exhailation orifices have to be at the same place. Also, mind moving the knee/elbow joint a bit backwards on it? It looks rather awekward the way it is.

So, it's only this one of yours that needs fixing:

I've got a camel sort of creature, could be used by lower tribes and Jay'Vi.

Species Name: Campestervisio equus [Flat Faced / Horse]

Native Name: Jaystalli, Jayfal

Human Nickname: Frog Camel, Sand Spitter

Location: Throughout lower Southern Hemisphere

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Dysmmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> Mollispedis --> [Family] --> Campestervisio --> equus

Habitat: Tundra, Hot and Cold Deserts, Arid Bushland

Appearance:

Diet: Liquivore/Mineravore/Imperiavore - Feeds on scrub, reeds, lichens and most other small organisms when available including small animals.

Special Anatomy: While being primitive when it come to their feeding structures the Trioxes are quite well adapted to harsh conditions.

Their heads are quite primitive and more akin to Pridigitatum then the much more advanced Mollispedis in form. While having sharp eyesight and well developed exhalation pores and breathing slits their mouth parts are still short and indented into the head.

Long and well muscled limbs give the Trioxe's to move at rapid paces for relatively long periods of time. Disk shaped feet keep them from sinking into sand and can deliver sharp kicks.

Most important to Trioxe's is its large fleshy hump and tail. Both are mostly made up of fat and can keep the Trioxe's alive without water for nearly a month. A small frill of fleshy pads extending form the tail are brightly traced and serve as displays for mating and territorial behaviors.

Their scaled and armored bodies help slow water loss and reflect heat off the body. If over heated the Trioxe's as a last resort will begin to sweat to lose heat. Lower in their range they inhabit much colder temperatures and so they build much more even coatings of fat under their skin.

Description/Uses/Other: The Trioxe's is a social animal and usually lives in small family groups of 2-40 animals. These groups spend most of their time feeding on scrub and traveling between water sources in the deserts and simply feeding in the tundras. Family groups are territorial and do not accept other herds on their grazing range.

Since Iga'Vi have inhabited the southern hemisphere of Novuvsita the Trioxe's has been used as a pack animal and mount. While not as widely used as the Pinguiequus as a mount by most professional armies the Troixe's is the preferred mount of bandits, mercenaries and raiders because of their durability. Many nomads also prefer them.

A rider sits behind the hump and are usually supported by a saddle.

I finished editing the horse monster.

I'd also like to make the floating jellyfish (because it makes me think of a Ghast) and the manowar jelly related to it.

EDIT: I feel stupid for double posting.

Oh, and can i have the specifications for the things I'm supposed to make?

Link

Species Name: Vasradix puniceus [Cup Root/ Purple]

Native Name:
Fooshua

Human Nickname:
Purple Cup Root

Location:
Circumglobal: Except for the very poles of the planet these plants are staple food supplies for their tubers to many natives across the planet.

Taxonomy:
[Life] --> [Imperia] --> [Trsymmetra] --> [Phylum] --> [Class] --> [Order] --> [Family] --> [Vasradix] --> [puniceus]

Habitat: Land

Appearance:

Diet:
Photosynthesis

Special Anatomy: The Fooshua is a relatively simple organism with a almost not existent nervous system or major organs.

Most notable are its three large tubers that can grow to massive sizes in old, healthy plants. These store food for growing their needles and fruits. The fruiting bodies are large cup shaped bodies that spew out spores when ever wind blows. They're brightly colored and are filled with copious amounts of Cyanide. The poisons isn't present in noticeable amounts in the rest of the plant.

The needles aren't truly needles, just leaves that constantly sprout from the tubers and supply sugars for the tubers.

Description/Uses/Other: The Tubers of the Fooshua are staple food diets of many Xen'Vi and are cultivated across most of the continents. They are though considered the food of the poor by most and are rarely seen on lavish dinner tables.

The fruits' poison is commonly used for assassination and even poisoning water supplies. The main difficulty with the otherwise easy access poison is that the Fooshua only produce fruiting bodies once a year and only for a week. The poison extracted from the fruits degrades to uselessness in a month.

Breoffen

Species Name: Etiamperasato..insultosato [Stilt Bag Plant / Leaping Plant] (Etiamperasato insultosato algidus, Etiamperasato insultosato refoveo)

Native Name: Gljiva

Human Nickname: Jumping Shroom, Shroom, Trippy, Strung Tree

Location: Sethland, Zealand

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Trisymmtra --> Phylum --> Class --> Order --> Family --> Etiamperasato --> insultosato --> [size=9]refoveo
/algidus

Habitat: Tropical floors, tundra forests

Appearance:

Diet: Photosynthesis

Special Anatomy: The "Shroom" is named for the experience of several explorers after handling samples of the plant with bare hands, a practice not encouraged due to the unknown nature of most native organisms. Instead of mass toxins the men were almost immediately induced into a high that lasted for 30 minutes. It was later found that if the plant is ingested the chemicals will overrun the nervous system shutting it down as a defense against predators. Luckily just handling it will cause a usually pleasant hallucinogenic trip.

The plant is often seen with a number of above ground roots that help brace the plant in soft tropical loam. The leaves number in threes and are large and wide. Several colored pads come out in between the leaves and attract small flying animals to come and feed on nectar within several holes above the pads. The holes are filled with spores which cover the animal as it feeds. Later they drop off and grow.

The top of the plant is a mystery. It is spongy and flexible. It is almost similar in properties to a trampoline and before nearly breaking his neck a biologist spent most of his high jumping up and down on the plant.

Description/Uses/Other: The Gljiva is mostly found in the tropical forests of Novuvsita. They're thought to have once been much more wide spread but what is known is considered to suggest a parasite or virus killed off the species much like Ash Borer of Earth has killed off the Ash. A second population from the tropical sub-species is named algidus and can only be found in a valley located in the southern tundras. There are an estimated 750 algidus in the tiny valley.

Along the equator the refoveo is commonly used by Svia'Vi for rituals and ceremonies. Not to mention they are similarly positively effected by the drugs in the plant as the humans are. The algidus is considered a sacred plant by the Cul'Ton'Vi people and any Xen'Vi caught touching the plant is immediately put to death.[/size]

---------------------------------------------

Vaura'Velsius

Species Name: Striperamen viridisriticus [Clubbed Grass/Green Wheat]

Native Name: Pol'Via, Iqua, Culto

Human Nickname: Club Grass, John's Reed

Location: Circumglobal

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Trismmetra --> [Phylum] --> [Class] --> [Order] --> [Family] --> Stripesgramen--> viridistriticus

Habitat: Open fields, forest clearings, marshes

Appearance:

Diet: Photosynthesis

Special Anatomy: While relatively un-descript the Pol'Via is an important crop for the Xen'Vi and can be found nearly everywhere on the planet. This is due to their simple and easily grown design and massive tubers like found beneath most Novuvsita flora. THese tubers are aligned in the customary tri-pattern and can be seen from above.

Description/Uses/Other: Pol'Via's main asset is its tubers which are dug up, beaten to a pulp and then dried by natives. Next it is beaten again till it becomes something of a coarse flour. This can be mixed with water to make dough. Other fruits and tubers will be added to be baked making a flat bread dotted with other edibles. While sounding delicious to some it in fact is quite bland and actually usually is simple flour and water, the staple of peasantry. Richer folk have the assets to make a favorable dish though.

While comprised of possibly thousands of species the Pol'Via is usually simply Viridistriticus due to thecurrent affairs which require expendable resources to be directed to other tasks then solving the mysteries of the Gneome of this Novuvsita plant.

---------------

Squard

Species Name: Canceratexus flammasato [Spider Web Plant/Bomb Plant]

Native Name: Squard, Poiuo

Human Nickname: Mine Plant, Bomb Pod, @#$% *, Pink Spine

Location: Zealand, Equatoria

Taxonomy: [Life] --> [Domain] --> [Kingdom] --> [Phylum] --> [Class] --> [Order] --> [Family] --> [Genus] --> [Species] [Subtaxa in curve-brackets, still seperated with -->]

Habitat: Tropical clearings, tropical floors

Appearance:

Diet: Photosynthesis

Special Anatomy:

Description/Uses/Other:

**As uttered by a human explorer upon first encounter with the plant.**
